The ground floor flat Merlot is accessed via the patio in the inner courtyard. Equipped with two chairs and a table, a bench and surrounded by fig trees, oleander and mimosa, you can forget time here. Listening to the splashing of the fountain, enchanted by the scent of the flowers, one cannot escape relaxation here. The nearby nature reserve and the Kraichgau region with its vineyards and orchards invite you to go hiking and cycling – the paths are well signposted and the rental bikes are ready for you. The nearest attractive destinations are the small Roman museum and the Hardtsee lake, which invites you not only for swimming but also for surfing, sailing and canoeing. A trip to Bruchsal with its baroque castle worth seeing is also possible off the beaten track, or a visit to the Thermal Bath in the neighbouring spa town of Bad Schönborn.
