Many guests give the Merlot flat the rating “exceptional” – and for good reason, because many small details and attentions pamper the guest so that they feel at home, even in a foreign country, at any time of the year. The wood-burning stove radiates warmth and cosiness on cold winter days, while the air conditioning ensures a restful night’s sleep even on tropical summer nights.
Ideal for families, the French bed in the bedroom (1.60 m wide) and the high-quality sofa bed in the living room offer the best possible comfort for up to four people (max. two adults and two children/teenagers up to 18 years). Both rooms are connected by a glass door, access from the hallway is via the living room. Spacious bathroom with large washbasin, walk-in shower (0.90 x 1.40 m) and bathtub – the WC is separately accessible via a sliding glass door.
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and Senseo coffee pad machine. From the adjoining dining area, a design staircase leads to the gallery with a small workplace. The desk is equipped with a 27″ display monitor and inkjet printer.
The balcony, which is protected by a glass roof and wind sail, is also accessible via the gallery – two wooden chairs with a bistro table and a small bench invite you to linger. Perhaps at breakfast or the evening candlelight evening, the house cat will drop by and curl up purring on the wooden floorboards..
Those arriving by car will find a free parking space in front of the house. It is also possible to take the Karlsruhe city train or a Deutsche Bahn train – Maison Marie can be reached on foot from both stations within two or ten minutes. I would also be happy to pick you up personally by car from the station or take you there.
